Yeah! After weeks of trying I finally got my iPhone WordPress app to connect to the blog. That’s why the site was down for a few hours. I totally screwed up the upgrade WordPress needed. My hosting company bailed me out thankfully.
So now I’m psyched. I can blog from my phone!

A few nights ago my son and I ventured out to our carriage house to look for a missing key. No luck with the key, but while scanning the shelves we did find this:

It seems that a mouse found Home Sweet Home in an unfinished bird house that my husband bought years ago from a craft store. We laughed when we imagined how excited that little guy must have been to discover his dream home while scavenging around our shelves. He surely must have thought he was a blessed mouse. A new home with a window view of the yard. No fear of the cats. And a 50lb bag of sunflower seeds just a few feet away! Mouse heaven!
We left it alone. I’d much rather he lived in his own home, than trying to move into mine.
For those who didn’t catch the Tweets with updates on Brio the sheep. A trip to the vet took care of everything. The vet had bigger scissors, and a stronger stomach. He gave us a powder to protect the wound and a spray to keep the flies away. Within a week he was healing nicely. Now he just has a small scar on his head.

I had the day off from work today, so I headed to an antiques store in a nearby town. I was actually there to look at large furniture pieces. I’m considering an overhaul of my kitchen, and was thinking that if they had any beautiful ‘have to have’ pieces then it would help the design along. They didn’t have anything, although a dry sink did catch my eye. Kitchens aren’t very useful without water though, so that threw a wrench in the dry sink idea. So no kitchen finds, but I did come home with this cast iron fire screen. The thing is h-e-a-v-y. I think it’s great, and it was only $45! That’s less than half the price of the flimsy things I see at retail stores. I can’t wait to see it with a nice fire behind it.
